The Totem bookshelf explores a simple form with a mix of materials. Its back support is constructed from solid oak and charred black with a torch to create a scaling texture know as sho sugi ban. Each shelf is constructed from solid walnut with a torched black front edge. The base is made of bronze with a hand applied Japanese leaf patina technique.
